Medal winners

Last weekend was a very busy weekend for sport. We had lots of people who won medals for athletics when competing against teams from Shetland and Aberdeen.
There were also some football winners in the class.
Here we are proudly showing off our medals.

Spelling

On Friday mornings we have a review of the week to see what we have learned and it is a chance to practise the spelling we have for homework. Last week we made word searches with our words and on Friday we swapped books with our learning buddies so that we could try each other's puzzles.

Tag rugby

Our tag rugby sessions have started once again. It's a chance to practise the skills we have learned and to improve our cooperation and teamwork. We are preparing for the tag rugby festival that takes place at the Picky on Friday this week.
Thank you in advance to parents for help with supervision during these sessions.

Challenger bus

Today the Challenger bus was in our car park and we had the chance to have a fun session with the crew.

We went upstairs where they have a video screen and we started with a lively song. We were shown a selection of bibles, including the smallest one in the world which requires a magnifying glass to read it. We even heard a bit read in French!

After that we learned about a Scottish minister called John Harper who became known as a hero on board the Titanic. He gave his life jacket to another passenger whilst in the water and, although he lost his life, he saved someone else's.

We finished off with a quiz in which we answered all the questions correctly and was won by the 'Meanminions' team. It was an enjoyable afternoon for everyone.
