Yellow hoops were the lungs and red hoops for the heart. We made a rough body outline with skipping ropes. Red cubes represented oxygen and blue cubes were carbon dioxide. Different coloured bands were used for the different types of cells in the blood. Watch the video below to see how we got on.
A different but fun way to find out about blood and it's function. I wish biology had been that much fun when I was at school. Isn't the human body's circulation system complicated with de-oxygenated blood and oxygenate blood and pulmonary veins and pulmonary arteries and the 4 different chambers in the heart etc. It's really a work of art how it all works and keeps us all alive and well.
